U.S Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce

Intentional Charity is proud to share that we are now officially recognized as a Certified Military Spouse Owned Business and a member of the U.S. Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce.

This certification is a public acknowledgment of the resilience, ingenuity, and economic sacrifice carried by military spouses across the country. Military spouse unemployment has remained 4 times the national average for more than a decade. When military spouses seek employment, they tend to be under employed or lack a clear career progression. Nearly half of military spouses have turned to entrepreneurship as a pathway to stability, contribution, and purpose. Intentional Charity is proud to be part of that movement.

As the spouse of a retired U.S. Marine, this recognition is deeply personal to Jessica K. Drake, M.A., CFRE (our founder and principal philanthropic consultant).

Intentional Charity was built with values lived by military families everyday:

Honor

Courage

Commitment

Resilience

Duty

Respect

Purpose

The Chamber’s leadership captures the heart of this movement. As Stephanie Brown, CEO and Co‑Founder of the U.S. Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce, reminds us:

“Veteran and military spouse business owners are 10 times more likely to hire fellow veterans and spouses. By empowering these individuals with meaningful training and mentorship, we are impacting their families, their communities, and our nation’s economy.”

Intentional Charity is honored to stand alongside organizations advancing economic opportunity for military families — and we are committed to doing our part. Next week, we look forward to introducing our summer intern, a talented military spouse whose work already reflects the strength and perspective this community brings to the table.

This certification affirms our mission: to champion purpose‑driven organizations, strengthen community ecosystems, and honor the legacy of service that has shaped our own story.@milspousechamber
