Meet the Intern
Today is National Intern Day!
We are so proud to introduce you to our consulting intern: Madison Ford
This summer, Intentional Charity welcomed Madison Ford, a fellow Chowan University Hawk and a rising leader with a sharp mind for management, accounting, and community impact.
Madison and Jessica K. Drake, M.A., CFRE first met at Chowan’s Career Day—two Hawks comparing notes on life, leadership, and their shared affection for Marines and the community outside the gates of Camp Lejeune. It was clear within minutes that she had the curiosity, discipline, and heart that define the next generation of philanthropic professionals.
In just a few short weeks, Madison has already made a remarkable imprint on our work:
✍ She compiled and organized our full blog library, giving readers a clearer path into the deeper thinking behind our mission.
💻 She refreshed our website, strengthening how we communicate who we are and what we do.
📑 She is now cataloging our professional credentials and preparing our Small Woman‑Owned Business certification—a foundational step for our long‑term growth.
☀️ And the summer is not yet over.
Madison brings the best of Chowan’s leadership DNA: integrity, initiative, and a genuine desire to strengthen communities. Watching her learn the rhythms of philanthropic consulting—and watching the transfer of wisdom happen in real time—has been a joy.
We are grateful she chose to spend her summer with us.
⭐ She is, without question, a rockstar. ⭐
